San Juan River Rafting

The San Juan River offers world-class Utah river rafting and the adventure of a lifetime for all ages through one of the world’s greatest outdoor museums. We offer daily 8-hour trips, fun and adventurous journeys lasting 3–7 days. The longer the trip the more opportunity there is for hiking to Ancestral Puebloan sites to view rock art and cliff dwellings much like you’d see in nearby Mesa Verde National Park. The San Juan river is divided into two different sections known as the Upper and Lower Canyon. The Upper Canyon trip starts in Bluff and floats 27 miles to Mexican Hat. The Lower canyon begins at Mexican Hat and floats 58 miles to Clay Hills crossing near the northern end of Lake Powell. We run river trips March–October.

Bears Ears Excursions

Not everyone is able to hike the distances required to get into the backcountry of Bears Ears National Monument, so we’ve created these vehicle-based trips to see the best of what Bears Ears has to offer without having to hike long distances. You’ll see some of the most beautiful sites in remote southeastern Utah, and we’ll get you where your rental car won’t. We’ll show you the sites only the locals know about.

Private Hiking

Bears Ears National Monument is rugged, and signs are sparse. Many roads are only accessible via high-clearance 4×4 vehicles. We will take care of all the logistics and make sure you get the most out of your time in the region, whether you only have a few hours or you stay with us for several days. Wild Expedition’s Bears Ears Hiking Tours are private so we will customize the itinerary specific to your fitness level and sites you want to see. If you want to see a specific place you don’t see on our list, give us a call, and we can make it happen. We’ve spent years getting “lost” in the canyons so know all the right ways.

Private Canyoneering

Canyoneering is hiking, climbing, squeezing, and rappelling through technical slot canyons only accessible with ropes. We’ll provide all the gear and teach you how to use it. Canyoneering can be an intimidating sport to learn on your own, so let our expert guides teach you the rope skills needed to navigate the technical terrain safely. These canyons are beautifully sculpted from flash floods, and the twisting canyon walls create a playground of colorful rock. Antelope Canyon near Page, Arizona is the most photographed canyon in the world, yetour canyons offer the same sheer beauty minus the crowds. We almost always have these canyons to ourselves.
