The Bluff Dwellings Resort Night Auditor position is responsible for the overnight audit process and accounting functions such as daily reporting of revenues, transaction audits & verifications, and preparation of daily bank deposits.

Night Auditor Responsibilities

  • Reconcile all credit card transactions, financial records, room charges, final bill preparation, and cash drawer activity after a thorough audit process
  • Record additional bookkeeping, and accounting procedures via Google Sheets documents.
  • Correspondence/email with lead contact information.

Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests and visitors to Bluff Dwellings Resort & Spa and Wild Expeditions.
  • Provide information to guest and visitor inquiries about the resort and recommend outdoor activities/tours of the tour company.
  • Maintain all work areas: clean, presentable and in excellent condition. Areas include: resort front, front desk, front desk office area, gift shop, market, and lobby restrooms.
  • Company dress code required.
  • Check-in and checkout guests in a timely punctual manner. Answer phone inquiries, return phone calls/messages/voice mail, and answer all emails for the resort and tour company. Create and complete reservations for the resort and tour company.

Wild Expeditions Tour Company guides a variety of land and river based activities in and around the Bears Ears National Monument. The tour food coordinator will work with the Food Manager to oversee tour food, plan menus, prepare and pack food and ensure all food is excellent quality and ready for safe handling. The food coordinator will work with guides to ensure trips are packed correctly with all food and equipment items. The tour food coordinator will also assist the Catering Coordinator and will be a Lead and work at the Cedar Shack Cafe. All efforts will be focused on working to provide excellent food service as we develop a world class reputation at Bluff Dwellings Resort and WILD Expeditions.

Responsibilities

  • Review, modify, and implement menus for all trips.
  • Pack and prepare for Daily and Multi-day trips.
  • Train and assign team members to assist in packing for trips.
  • Keep inventory of what food items will be needed for trips and do shopping for multi-day trips.
  • Work with guides and booking software to accommodate guest allergies and food preferences.
  • Maintain trip food service equipment such as plates, bowls, utensils, pans, cook kits, coolers, are well kept, organized, and have necessary quantities for upcoming trips.
  • Work with the Food Manager and purchasing coordinator to acquire small equipment and trip items such as hand soaps, dish soap and sanitizer, snacks etc.
  • Train Guides to know where kitchen equipment is and how to prepare food menus
  • Assist catering coordinator to prepare, cook and serve for Events.
  • Work in the Cedar Shack Cafe as needed to cover shifts and work as a shift Lead.
  • Participate in the Leadership Team to ensure overall Customer Satisfaction at Bluff Dwellings.
  • Lead and train for excellent quality of food at Cedar Shack Cafe, Catering and Tour Food.

Wild Expeditions, based out of the hotel lobby offers river and land tours in Bears Ears National Monument and the surrounding area. With standard and custom tours to fit every traveler’s itinerary.

The Concierge serves as a specialized customer service representative to all guests and visitors of Bluff Dwellings and Wild Expeditions. The concierge is responsible for responding to a wide variety of consumer/guest needs to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for our guests. With a special focus on providing detailed information to guests on Wild Expeditions Tours, Shuttles and Rentals. Concierge staff must also be able to convey a variety of information on additional resources pertaining to personalized outdoor activities and excursions. Superior communication skills and customer service skills are necessary to succeed in this role. In short, the primary duty of the concierge is to be of service to guests and keep them happy.

Responsibilities

  • Specialized guest services for guests and visitors of Bluff Dwellings Resort & Spa and Wild Expeditions.
  • Arrange transportation and excursions upon visitor request.
  • Provide information and recommendations on local features, attractions, shopping, restaurants, dining, entertainment, nightlife, and recreational activities.

Wild Expeditions offers vehicle shuttles for private river runners and hikers in the remote region of San Juan County. Most trips on the river or backpacking last 3-7 days. While the customers are on the river or hike, we shuttle their vehicles from their starting point to the end point. (Typically Bluff to Mexican Hat or Clay Hills Crossing.) Shuttle drivers also pick up and drop off guests of WILD Expeditions tours in company vehicles.

Wild Expeditions is seeking shuttle drivers to assist in transporting private customer vehicles, and transporting guests of our tour company to and from tour locations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Safely transport private vehicles in a timely punctual manner
  • Safely transport guests to and from tour locations in a timely punctual manner
  • Follow all traffic laws and company regulations

Organize daily food operations and lead the food service staff in providing excellent food service as we develop a world class reputation at Bluff Dwellings Resort and WILD Expeditions. Help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and oversee all day to day operations having to do with food services. Food Manager responsibilities include scheduling shifts for staff, monitoring daily expenses and revenues and ordering supplies. Work directly with Tour Manager, Event Coordinator and Hotel Managers to ensure food services are completed as needed, done to perfection, efficiency and with great customer service. To be successful in this role you should have work experience with various roles in the food service industry, restaurants or coffee shops. Must have a positive attitude, work well with others, ability to lead, and a stellar work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day food operations for the Cedar Shack Cafe, Catering, and WILD Expeditions.
  • Hire, onboard, train and lead staff in best practices, policies and procedures.
  • Train employees on menu preparation, packing, plating, and proper use of equipment.
  • Coordinate with resort Food Director, purchasing and vendors to project accurate needs for food and ensure supplies are ordered and on hand to provide great guest service.
  • Oversee, track and maintain records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses.
  • Forecast and review profits and losses with resort Food director, GM and Owners.
  • Modify cafe menu items based on seasonality, profitability and customer preference.
